Nisse men

As I have may told you I am half danish, And in my family that part of us comes out a lot around this time of year. I love it! I was in the Christmas spirit and wanted to make Nisse men a Scandinavian folklore tradition that I grow up with. we always had this little Nisse men all over the house around Christmas time. I remember having one Nisse men that was doll like and was 2 feet tall....It was the most terrifying thing as a kid. I'll have to find it and take a photo so you can understand why I say this......anyways I really loved this little Nisse men so I got some wood and painted them in the traditional way. my Nisse men are not so terrifying! More on the cute side.

The post cards of the Nisse men are charming but I can see why you'd be afraid of a very tall one staring at you as a child! LOL

Hello you don't know me but I was searching for Nisse men online because I remember as a little girl about Nisse men and wanted to bring back some old tradiotions we would do before my mom got sick and I was wondering if you could email me or something on how you did your Nisse men. I love them. They are so cute and I want my little girls to remember there heritage and family traditions. You are such an amazing artist too. I really enjoyed looking at your blog. Thank you
